The DVSA annual report 2025/26 has been published, providing a detailed overview of the agency’s performance, finances and priorities during the last financial year.

While the report covers the organisation as a whole, it includes information that will be of interest to ADIs, PDIs and rider trainers, including updates on:

  • Driving test services and operational performance
  • Progress against DVSA’s strategic objectives
  • Digital transformation and customer services
  • Financial performance and organisational priorities
  • Road safety initiatives and future direction

Although the report does not introduce new policies, it provides useful context on the work undertaken by DVSA during 2025/26 and the challenges and opportunities facing the agency.

DIA will be publishing a detailed analysis of the report shortly, highlighting the sections most relevant to driver and rider trainers, what the figures reveal, and what they could mean for the profession going forward.

In the meantime, instructors can read the full DVSA annual report 2025/26 on GOV.UK.
