DVSA are suspending all but their most essential services on 19 September due to the Bank Holiday and State Funeral, allowing individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty.
You need to let your pupils know that their car (or motorcycle test) on 19 September 2022 will not take place.
If you booked the test for your pupil it will be cancelled and automatically refunded. If they booked their own tests they will be automatically re-booked for the first available date.
If you have a booking to use a motorcycle manoeuvre area on 19 September 2022, it will be cancelled and your payment automatically refunded.
All theory tests have also been suspended on 19 September. Similarly, all ADI part 2, 3 tests and standards checks have been suspended for that day. DVSA will contact all affected ADIs and PDIs with the earliest possible new test date. However, you can move your rescheduled test on GOV.UK for ADI part 2 and 3 tests or by emailing standardschecks@dvsa.gov.uk for standards checks.
Lessons and instruction
There is no obligation on you to suspend your business during the National Mourning period. You may wish to consider closing, especially on the day of the State Funeral, however, this is your choice
DVSA online services will be available as usual on Monday 19 September.
