DVSA has arranged for all fees for pre-booked test slots cancelled from 20 March to 19 June due to the COVID-19 response to be refunded.
Refunds can take 3-5 working days to be processed and will be paid back into the account they were paid from.
DVSA usually processes refunds for cancelled pre-booked test slots manually. Due to the numbers of tests that needed to be refunded DVSA developed an automated system to help get funds back sooner.
The automated system will only be used during the coronavirus pandemic.
Tests paid for by a pre-funded account, will be credited back to the account. To request a refund of part or full balance, email customerservices@dvsa.gov.uk including your account details.
If you do not receive your refund after five working days, email customerservices@dvsa.gov.uk
DVSA will keep you updated on when the online booking service is available again on GOV.UK and when testing will resume.
