The Scottish government has announced it plans to reintroduce the levels system on 26 April. Driving lessons will not be allowed to start until at least this date.
Scotland’s Strategic Framework is working towards the aim that all parts of the country currently in level 4 will be able to move out of level 4, back initially to level 3 and afterwards to other levels dependent on incidence and prevalence of the virus at that time.
Currently all of the Scottish mainland and some islands are under protection level 4. All car driving tests are suspended in areas under this protection level. This includes ADI part 2 and 3 tests and standards checks. Driving lessons are also not permitted in areas under protection level 4.
